Meet the artists performing at our first Manchester event.
An anglo/americana trio from Exeter, comprising sisters Beth and Emillie Key and their cousin Meghann Loney. They perform a mix of original songs and well-known covers, accompanied by a range of acoustic instruments.
Inspired by the folk revivalists of the 60s, Sam Brookes began writing and performing at sixteen while training as a gilder in his late father's workshop. His album Kairos was acclaimed by The Independent as one of the year's stand-out records, and he has worked with artists including Scott Matthews, Lucy Rose, Newton Faulkner and Basement Jaxx.
Formed in Beirut by musicians from North Wales and Yorkshire, The Trials of Cato blend traditional folk influences into a sound of their own. Their debut album Hide and Hair won Best Album at the 2019 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, and the band have toured extensively across the UK, USA, Canada and Europe.
